Everything in the Old Testament system was a shadow, a carefully crafted copy of a heavenly reality. But copies eventually fade, and shadows disappear when the light arrives. In Hebrews 9:23-24, we witness the stunning transition from what was temporary to what is eternal. The earthly tabernacle, with its animal sacrifices and repeated rituals, has been forever bettered by Christ’s single entrance into heaven itself.
