The Old is Gone, For the New Came | Soma – Hebrews 10:5-10

Sacrifices and offerings filled the temple for centuries, yet God’s response was never full satisfaction. Hebrews 10:5-10 unveils the divine tension: the law demanded blood, but God’s heart desired obedience. Then Christ arrived with words that changed everything: “Behold, I have come to do your will, O God.” In that single declaration, the old covenant found its completion. Animal offerings were never meant to be permanent-they were placeholders, pointing to the One who would offer His own body once for all. By that will, we have been sanctified. The old system didn’t fail; it finished. And when Christ said “It is finished,” the old was gone, and the new had come.
