Faith isn’t just about believing the right things, it’s about leaving the right things. In Hebrews 11:8-10, Abraham’s story becomes the blueprint for every believer’s journey. He didn’t know where he was going when God called him. He simply obeyed and went. For the rest of his life, he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, dwelling in tents alongside Isaac and Jacob – fellow heirs of the same promise. Why? Because Abraham was looking beyond the temporary. He was waiting for a city with foundations, whose designer and builder is God. His vision extended far beyond the physical land of Canaan. He lived for a heavenly country, a hope that would outlast every tent and every earthly inheritance.
