THE PROBLEM OF MAN

  • According to John 8:34, everyone who sins eventually becomes a…………………………to sin.

  • Using the following scriptures define sin

    • James 4:17

    • 1John 3:4

    • 1John 5:17

    • Romans 14:23

  • From James 4:1-2. How is our relationship with other people affected by our evil desires?

  • Read Hebrews 9:27 and Romans 6:23. What else does man face after he dies?

    • Do you think you will be found guilty or innocent?

    • What is the fair penalty for our sin?

  • Some people have said and argued that if we only live to do good then God cannot send us to hell. Many religions believe in going to heaven by their good acts. Many times we give excuses for our sins and want to justify ourselves before God and others. If God be the judge of our lives then let us hear what he says about the common excuses given by men. From your readings of the scriptures below, How does God respond?

    • “But I try to keep the Ten Commandments (the law).” Romans 3:20

    • “But I have done lots of good deed (righteous acts).” Isaiah 64:6

    • “But I have only committed few small sins-not big ones.” James 2:10-11

    • “But I have gone to church and been very religious.” Ezekiel 33:30-32

    • What other excuses do people give?

    • Who is good enough to measure up to God’s standards? Romans 3:23

    • How does God feel about the wickedness of those he created? Genesis 6:5-6

Please send us your responses to these questions above. We would love to hear what you’ve learned and how this has impacted you…
